We build differentiable simulation software and conduct research at the intersection of applied mathematics, machine learning, and computational plasma physics — with a focus on laser fusion.
Our tools use automatic differentiation and gradient-based optimization to solve problems in scientific computing that are intractable by conventional means: discovering novel physics, fitting models to experimental data, and embedding kinetic effects into fluid codes.
Research highlights and recent papers coming soon.
Ergodic L.L.C. is a research and software development company based in Seattle, WA, founded by Dr. Archis Joglekar. We work on hard problems at the frontier of scientific machine learning and plasma physics.
Our work is published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at conferences, and released as open-source software. Our primary research tool is ADEPT — a suite of differentiable numerical solvers for plasma physics, built in JAX.
We collaborate with researchers at national laboratories, universities, and other institutions. We are open to research partnerships, consulting engagements, and grant-funded collaborations.
